Marc-Olivier Oetterli, born in Geneva, graduated from the Hochschule der Künste in Bern in 1996 with Prof. Jakob Stämpfli and attended courses with Jan-Hendrik Rootering and Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, among others. At the Opéra National de Bordeaux he sang Don Magnifico in Rossini’s “La Cenerentola” and as a member of the ensemble at the Lucerne Theater in 2008-2011 he appeared as Leporello in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni”, as well as in the title roles in Gurlitt’s “Wozzeck” and Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro”, among others. Since the 2011/12 season, Marc-Olivier Oetterli has been a member of the ensemble at the Staatstheater Kassel, where he has appeared as Klingsor in Wagner’s “Parsifal”, Papageno in Mozart’s “Magic Flute”, Don Fernando in Beethoven’s “Fidelio”, Clistene in Vivaldi’s “Olimpiade” and as Biterolf in Wagner’s “Tannhäuser”, among others.
